Abstract
This paper addresses the study of two Andalusian capitals from the city of Huesca recently acquired by two museums: the Museo Diocesano de Huesca and the Museo de Huesca. The first, a Corinthianizing capital carved in local sandstone with vegetal relief decoration and found in the excavations of the cathedral, very probably belonged to the great mosque of Wašqa and would thus date from the first half of the 11th century. The second, in the Composite style, with vegetal relief decoration and carved in alabaster, would date from the second half of the 11th century and could have been made in a Zaragoza workshop, known as círculo de la Aljafería, to decorate a building in Huesca, such as a neighbourhood mosque.
