Abstract
This article studies the pigments of a painting representing Saint Jerome, preserved in the Diocesan Museum of Huesca, using portable X-ray fluorescence equipment. The results show the presence of cinnabar red, lead white, ochre browns and bone black. The technique has limitations and additional investigations are recommended. The nature of the pigments is compatible with attributing the artwork to the 16th-17th centuries.
